It’s been a difficult time for the entire world, for the Jewish people, for families, and for individuals. We have been through so much over the last few weeks and months on many levels. We need healing. We need comfort. We need to feel the warm embrace from above. This is the time for consolation in the Jewish calendar, as we prepare ourselves emotionally and spiritually for the upcoming High holidays that lie ahead. The Shabbat after the 9th of Av (the saddest day in the Jewish calendar) is called Shabbat Nachamu, the Shabbat of consolation. We read the prophecy from the book of Isaiah (40:1-26) “I will comfort you, I will comfort you, my people...”. This is the time to renew our hope. This is the time to dust ourselves off. This is the time to trust in G-d, that He will fulfill His promises to us and redeem the Jewish people. This is the time to have confidence in ourselves that we can fix and correct our ways, ushering in better times for humanity with our acts of kindness and devotion.

Join us on August 2nd for our 2nd women’s virtual retreat, as we gather together in learning, creativity, song, dance, inspiration and community. This is the time to bring some comfort to the world and receive the abundance of comfort from above.
